Yes. Both lines give full grey coverage; the choice between them is about scalp sensitivity and how much lift you want elsewhere. Resistant grey around the hairline sometimes needs a longer processing time, which is assessed at the free consultation.

How often will I need a touch-up?

Root re-growth typically shows at four to six weeks on a global colour. Balayage and ombré are painted to grow out softly and are usually refreshed every three to four months instead — one of the reasons hand-painted colour tends to suit a busier calendar better.

Can I colour hair that has been smoothed or straightened?

Colour is the service most often got wrong somewhere else, and almost always for the same reason: it was chosen from a chart. A swatch is a piece of dyed nylon under a shop light. It tells you nothing about how a shade will read against your own skin, in your own daylight, on hair that already has three years of previous colour in it.

So colour here is mixed in the room, held against the skin it is meant for, and looked at in daylight before any of it goes on. The colour consultation is complimentary, and it matters more here than anywhere else on the carte, because colour is the one service that cannot simply be redone if it is wrong.

Every colour is mixed to order in the room, against your own skin in daylight, and applied in gloves with a fresh cape and gown for each client. Nothing is pre-mixed and left waiting for whoever is next in the chair.

The same consultation happens whether it is your first colour appointment or your fiftieth — hair changes with every process it goes through, so what worked last time is checked against what is actually there now, not assumed.

Global colour, and the ammonia-free question

Two lines are stocked. Majirel is the classic. Inoa is ammonia-free, and the one to ask for if your scalp burns or itches with colour, if you are pregnant, or if you simply do not want the smell sitting in the room for an hour.

Ammonia-free does not mean weaker. Inoa's oil delivery gets the same coverage on grey; what it gives up is a little of the lift on very dark natural hair, which is why the choice between the two is a consultation decision rather than a preference.

Highlights, balayage and ombré

A single streak is worth doing first if you want to see how a shade actually sits before committing a full head to it — highlights and a full head are two different decisions, and only one of them is reversible in an afternoon.

Balayage and ombré are hand-painted rather than foiled, and it is worth doing properly: painted colour grows out without a visible line, which is usually gentler on the hair — and on your calendar — than a global that needs a root touch-up every few weeks.

Toning, pre-lightening and looking after it

Colour toning is the step that keeps brassiness out of lifted hair, and the one most people skip and then blame the colour for. Pre-lightening is a separate step whenever the target shade is lighter than the hair will reach in one process.
